PROMISES TO ALL MY FRIENDS.....

Here is a series of promises that

actually speak of true friendship.

You will see no cutesy little

smiley faces on this card -

Just the stone cold truth of

our great friendship.

1. When you are sad --

I will jump on the person who made

you sad like a spider monkey

jacked up on Mountain Dew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2. When you are blue --

I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you.

3. When you smile --

I will know you are plotting something

that I must be involved in.

4. When you're scared -- we will high tail it out of here.

5. When you are worried --

I will tell you horrible stories about

how much worse it could

be until you quit whining, ya big baby!!!!

6. When you are confused -- I will use little words.

7. When you are sick --

Stay away from me until you are well again.

I don't want whatever you have.

8. When you fall --

I'll pick you up and dust you off--

After I laugh my butt off!!

9. This is my oath...I pledge it to the end.

'Why?' you may ask --

because you are my FRIEND!

Friendship is like peeing your pants,

everyone can see it,

but only you can feel the true warmth.

ROLL TIDE!

"Yea, Alabama!"
Yea, Alabama!
Drown 'em Tide!
Every 'Bama man's behind you;
Hit your stride!
Go teach the Bulldogs to behave,
Send the Yellow Jackets to a watery grave!
And if a man starts to weaken,That's a shame!
For 'Bama's pluck and grit
Have writ her name in crimson flame!
Fight on, fight on, fight on, men!
Remember the Rose Bowl we'll win then!
Go, roll to victory,Hit your stride,
You're Dixie's football pride,
Crimson Tide!

It is so pretty, I had to share a picture of it.
Well, The CCAA only went through 2 days of referrals.
This was a disappointment to us, But it is better than none.
Hopefully next month will be better!

Halloween Cake!

Russ and I are going to a Halloween party and I thought I would put my new cake decoration classes to the test. I wanted to make a Halloween cake and I could not for the life of me figure out what to put on the cake, so Russ went on the Internet and found a cake with these goblins on it, so I thought that looks simple enough. So here it is! My first Halloween cake.
We hope you all had a very nice Halloween!

And the winners are.......
Cutest...Miss Vivian as a poodle

Scariest...William as a transformer

Best...Emma Fu as a Dr.

William, Rebecca, Emma, Gracie Mei, & Claire
Gracie Mei, Henry, Claire, Rebecca, & William

House, Before & After

Before...
After...
Can you see what Russ had done today?
Some guy came by and asked if there was anything that we needed done around our house that he could do for us and Russ said, YES! You can cut down this tree.
I loved that tree, but it was messy.
It was a holly tree and it would drop sickers and berry's all over the ground.
And it was rubbing on the roof. It does look better. Now my fountain will not get so dirty.
Anyway... It's gone now.

FingerPrints & Birthdays!!

Happy Birthday to my Handsome Nephew Landon Corsbie!!
Aunt Lisa & Runcle Russell Love you VERY MUCH!

Well, they say "3rd Time Is The Charm"

WE HOPE SO!!!

We had to update our finger prints for the 3rd time today.

You can't take in camera's or phones, so I had to take a photo of the sign going into the office complex that holds the Immigration Department in Birmingham Alabama.

We were the only ones there today so we were in and out in less than 10 minutes.

Now we just wait for our updated 171.

After our prints, we went to the Galleria Mall for lunch,

then over to Academy sports,

then to World Market, Then to Barnes and Noble,

then to the Art Museum, then to dinner, and lastly home.

(Alison, Hopefully you will not have to wait much longer for Mommy and Daddy!

We love you so much! We can not wait to have you in our arms!!)

Harvest Moon Festival 9-13-2008

Harvest Moon Festival
Max, Kathy & Emma Norman's
Saturday, September 13, 2008
What a moon for the Moon Festival!
Our Families with Children from China Group had our 3rd annual Moon Festival last night at the home of Max, Kathy, & Emma Norman. We had such a large turn out. It was so nice to see everyone. We try to get together at least once a month. There are a few months out of the year we don't do anything as a group because of Family holidays or BACK TO SCHOOL! haha
Kathy & Max Norman with Thersa Gray
(No, I didn't misspell her name!lol)
After some good food and fellowship all the kido's got to decorate Chinese lanterns for a Lantern Parade. They had lot's of fun getting to color and add stickers to their lanterns.Gracie Mei shows off her lovely lantern.

This beautiful lady is Min. She is a friend of Russell's from work. She got to come and bring her two son's, David and Daniel. The young lady in the center is one of our FCC families newest members. AnnaLi. AnnaLi is 12 and just came home from China last month. She doesn't speak English, but learns a little everyday. Min was such a big help to The Gray family in translating for AnnaLi to her Mother Kristy. It was such a wonderful sight to see AnnaLi's face light up to be able to have a conversation with someone who knew what she was saying. Min and Kristy sat forever with AnnaLi just talking with her. It was such an emotional time for me to see how Happy Min and AnnaLi seemed to be talking with each other in Chinese. Thank you Min for giving this family something good. You are a sweetheart!
