Could This be a SIGN?? haha

Well, I went to Kohl's and they had a stuffed dog with a scarf on, the scarf has 2006 on it. Well, 2006 is YEAR OF THE DOG! So, My guess is that Alison (& Susan) have been born. Okay, Is this a sign or what?? Now, Russ and I go into CVS in Athens on Sunday (12-24-06) to get some Cokes. And WHAT TO MY WONDERING EYES DID APPEAR, BUT TWO LITTLE PANDA'S DRESSED IN CHINESE GEAR! I searched and searched for any others but alas there were none. So I peaked over the self and caught Russell's attention and just held then up with a BIG smile on my face and said...LOOK WHAT I FOUND! I took them up to him and He said, Let's get them! So Home they went and Under the tree they go. We are HOPEFULL they will make their trip to China Next year, One for Susan and one for Alison Rose!Merry Christmas Everyone!!God Bless you and keep you!

Twas The Night Before Christmas

Twas the Night before Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas
When all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring,
Not even a mouse.

The stocking were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;
The Children were nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of sugar plums danced in their heads;
And Momma in her kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled down for a long winters nap.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moom on the breast of the new fallen snow,
Gave the luster of mid-day to objects below.
When what to my wondering eyes did appear,
But a minature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer.

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.

More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted and called them by name...
Now Dasher! Now Dancer! Now Prancer and Vixen!
On Comet! On Cupid!, On Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! To the top of the wall!
Now Dash Away! Dash Away! Dash Away all!
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky,
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of toys, and St. Nicholas too.
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof.
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Doen the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.

He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his feet,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot;
A bundle of toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.
His eyes- how they twinkled! His dimples- how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow.
The stump of his pipe he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath;
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook, when he laughed, like a bowl full of jelly.
He was chubby and blump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself;
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,

Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings;
Then turned with a jerk,
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose;
He sprang to his sleigh,
To his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim,
As he drove out of sight;
"HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!"

Getting in the Christmas Spirit!

WOW What do you say to a husband that has gone CHRISTMAS SHOPPING with you 2 saturday's in a row??
I was in a "slump" (or in the "funk" as one of my friends put it) this year for Christmas. I was in the mood, I was out of the mood. Now I am back in the mood for Christmas. I told one of my friends from my Athens, AL FCC group I would put a picture of my "Charlie Brown" Christmas tree on the blog. So here it is. It's not that bad for a 4 1/2 foot pre-lit tree.
Anyway, From Our House To Your House......
MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Athens Chirstams Parade & Athens FCC PotLuck

Hello everyone!! What a time we have had so far this week! We went to the Athens Christmas parade on thursday and froze our toes! haha We only lasted 1 hour. We went with my friend Elizabeth and her son Andrew. I think we had more fun tring to keep Andrew under the covers than watching the parade! lol

On friday we had our first annual Christmas Pot Luck with out Athens, Al Families with Children from China group. We had a light crowd. But with the holidays just around the corner we had a nice turn out with 5 families. We had good food and fellowship, what more can you ask for!? Here is Emma Fu (with her head down)and Gracie Mei (in the pink hoody) giving each other a hug under the Christmas tree. ( I missed Gracie giving Emma a kiss on the cheek right after I took this photo)

New Books for Alison

Well, Alison's library is getting big. I bought more books in honor of our 7 month LID anniversary. So, If you go to Books a Million in Jones Valley you WILL NOT FIND ANYMORE " I Love You Like Crazy Cakes" books. I bought the last one!! Target has a very cute soft side book that is a lady bug, That's the one in the back. The small books I got from AVON. You put your child's picture in the back of the book for him/her to look at while you read the book. We belong to Disney's book of the month club, so every 3 to 4 weeks Alison get's 3 new books. That's it for now.
Love, Lisa
