1st day in Beijing

We are in Beijing. Looks like we do not have access to Facebook or Blogger. We left Hong Kong around noon. We got here around 3:30pm. Our guide (Cherry) met us at the airport and drove us to our hotel. That was an experience We are staying at the Renaissance on Xiaoyun Rd. in Chaovang District. It is a VERY NICE hotel. It is like a small apartment. We have a very large closet and bathroom. A FULL size bathroom with a separate tub and shower.

Russ is about to go for a swim at the pool and go for a ride on the stationary bike. When he gets back we are going to order room service and go to sleep. We have along day tomorrow. We are going to the Great Wall and The Summer Palace. Cherry told us it was a very long drive from our hotel. She will be here at 8 in the morning. We are really looking forward to it. Here are some pictures I took of Beijing form our hotel window. We are only on the 6th floor and from the haze outside and the window they are not very good pictures but they are better than none at the time being. We will have more for you tomorrow.
